How to Migrate iPhone Messages to Android/Windows

With iTunes, you can back up and restore iOS system easily. However, you can do nothing if you want to pick up some file from the backup but not the whole backup file? This is one of the biggest iTunes imperfections. Here I will show you how to migrate iPhone contacts to other devices such as messages, contacts or other type files.

Solution 1: Send messages to Android devices

Open “Message” app, hold on the message you needed and multiselect others, then tap on the “Forward” icon in left right corner, you can send it to other Android devices.

Solution 2: Extract Messages to Excel on iPhone

1. Download UltData and install it into your computer.

2. Launch UltData and connect your device to computer via USB cable.

3. If the messages remain in your iPhone, just choose “Recover Data from iOS Device” and the file type that you need. Here we follow the default settings to select all data type.

4. Wait for the scanning procedure complete, here I need to input the iTunes backup password for I have set it before, you will see all file type in your iPhone.

5. Choose “Messages” from left window, all messages will list out as contacts, choose the messages you need, then click on “Export”, it will save to excel document.

Solution 3: Extract Messages from iTunes Backup

Sometimes, we may delete the message, you can also check iTunes backup to see if you can find anything you need. Here choose “Recovery from iTunes Backups”, with the same operation in Solution 2, you can easily extract your message and manage/sent it with convenience.

Solution 4: Extract Data from iCloud Backup

If you have enabled “iCloud Backup” in iPhone, here you can choose “Recover from iCould Backup” to check if you can find some message in iCloud.
Login your iCloud account, UltData will automatically help you download the backup, and then scan it for every type of messages. Just follow the same step in “Step 2”, you can export messages.
