Apple released iOS 11 Beta on June 5Th, the iOS 11 bring us more new features such as new control center, redesigned app drawer and apple pay on iMessage and new app store.
Here you can follow me to update to iOS 11 Beta on iPhone 7 with out PC/Mac, this guide also works for iPhone 7 Plus/6 Plus/6/SE/5s. Designed for 64 bit framework, iOS 11 will not work on iPhone 5 and earlier devices.
NOTE: The beta version of iOS 11 may not stable, before update, please ensure that you have backup you iPhone. Thus you can get back to previous iOS if you have any problems with iOS 11.
1. Download and install iOS 11 Beta Configuration Profile.
Open iOS 11 Configuration Profile link in Safari and it will download the profile and open in settings. Click “Allow” then follow the steps to install confirmation profile. Now your iPhone will restart.
Tips: The first restart brings black screen on my iPhone 7, even cannot power off. Here I use a freeware – ReiBoot to enter and exit recovery mode to fix it.
You can download ReiBoot before you do the upgrade in case any unexpected problems, ReiBoot also could also downgrade your iPhone to iOS 10.3.2 with clicks, very easy and convenient.
2. Check for Apple Update
Open settings on iPhone, navigate to General – Software Update, you will see the iOS 11 Beta available. Click on “Download and install” to down iOS 11 system file, now you can handing everything to apple.
3. Install Update
After the iOS 11 system file downloaded, you will be able to install the iOS 11. The whole process will be last more than 30 minutes, please wait patiently and you can enjoy iOS 11.
Now enjoy iOS 11 Beta! Though there remains many bugs in iOS 11, take my iPhone 7 as example, the bluetooth cannot disable and the notification enter remain black. If you need to downgrade to iOS 10.3.2, just download the freeware ReiBoot and it will automatically help you do the job.
